3DNET Technologies and Applications for Smart Campus

The execution period of this project is from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2019.The chairman of this project is President M. C. Chang. The research team of CVRC responses for the implementation of video security monitoring system. Research fundingof this project is NT $7 millions.

The research team will combinethe fixed video security monitoring system with existing campus networks to establish a state-of-art security system.

With the needs of high-speed transmission networks and co-manufacturers, the research team will develop five main technologies as below: “High stability and high efficiency gender / age identification technology”, ” High adaptivemixed-flow license plates recognition technology”, “Smart image recognitionsystem on embedded device”, “The 3D reconstruction of NCTU campus and wide range video surveillance,” and “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle”.
